Never quite remember

  Only we can see

   The three of me
   Standing next to you
   All agree
   While watching ourselves
From the corner of our eyes
   We see clearly
   What we need to be
   You don’t know
   Only we can see
   Me
   Myself
   And i
   All three agree
   We are real
   Not you
   Only
   Me and
   Me and
   me

that is a rather haunting rendition on it man...like talking to yourself and yourself...and all concentrating on me...

It is of course really spooky how close reality free of all illusion turns out to be, right next door to insanity, kissing distance actually, far inside the borders of bad breath and other effluvia. That is why hygiene is pretty much a good thing.

This has a bit of creepy to it... not insanity so much as vanity within insanity. Although I admit that I have the most agreeable conversations when I speak to myself. ;)

Nope... doesn't matter how I comment... no 'subscribe' option. It's probably something I've done on my end but no clue what.

Interesting ways, we see between here and there..

Hmm, I like it, I do. I must admit, I re-read the last "me, and me, and me" line over like 4 times, it was odd, but sent a fun sensation surging. Very good pick, Ill have to check out the prompts, clever little piece!

:)

Interesting... I like the exploration of the different facets of 'self'.

The image at the beginning has an eerie hint/vibe of the painting 'Vanity'. It brings to mind the Jewish idea that the human heart is the site of two conflicting tendencies - yetzer hatov (the good urge) and yetzer harah (the bad urge) and that the whole of life is a constant battle between these. Some hold that we can sublimate and redirect the yetzer harah, while others claim that we must fight and overcome - even destroy the yetzer harah!

Okay...I've written a tome...sorry. But that's what your poem (probably you meant it to be more lighthearted...lol) had me thinking on.

Thank you all!

Nadja, that is cool info, I have never heard about that facet of Jewish belief...I'll have to ponder it!

Stretches the mind. Also, there is something about the way you presented the image...perhaps the black frame on the purple background...that makes it 'pop' as no other presentation of it in magpie kingdom!
