Only we can see
Standing next to you
All agree
While watching ourselves
From the corner of our eyes
We see clearly
What we need to be
You don’t know
Only we can see
Me
Myself
And i
All three agree
We are real
Not you
Only
Me and
Me and
me

"Insanity is never a fun place to visit, you just can never quite remember it afterwards...so you assume you had a good time"

I like the creative take...who is the real me anyway ~
Happy Sunday ~
that is a rather haunting rendition on it man...like talking to yourself and yourself...and all concentrating on me...
It is of course really spooky how close reality free of all illusion turns out to be, right next door to insanity, kissing distance actually, far inside the borders of bad breath and other effluvia. That is why hygiene is pretty much a good thing.
At least all three are in agreement...
Very brilliant approach!
It gets to liking oneself and enjoying it!

Good one!
This has a bit of creepy to it... not insanity so much as vanity within insanity. Although I admit that I have the most agreeable conversations when I speak to myself. ;)
Nope... doesn't matter how I comment... no 'subscribe' option. It's probably something I've done on my end but no clue what.
Yes, there is definitely that narcissism in the pic! K.

sometimes those other two don't always
know everything. ;)
i'm lovin the quote.
...and glad you had a good fucking time.
Who are you? Who, who are you?
Interesting ways, we see between here and there..
Hmm, I like it, I do. I must admit, I re-read the last "me, and me, and me" line over like 4 times, it was odd, but sent a fun sensation surging. Very good pick, Ill have to check out the prompts, clever little piece!
:)
you sure me myself and i are all real? how do you know?

I love this! Especially the opening.

Nice.
Me is who I am now, not before or later.
Duane? the photographer. He comes on Friday and I am Friday's me for him... ;)
Excellent poem ,Agent Smith!
clever with a twist.
and thanks for your kind commments.
Great poem ... and a riddle too.
cool, love the rhythm and the insight.
It's crowded, that's for sure. I like your take. : )
Interesting... I like the exploration of the different facets of 'self'.
The image at the beginning has an eerie hint/vibe of the painting 'Vanity'. It brings to mind the Jewish idea that the human heart is the site of two conflicting tendencies - yetzer hatov (the good urge) and yetzer harah (the bad urge) and that the whole of life is a constant battle between these. Some hold that we can sublimate and redirect the yetzer harah, while others claim that we must fight and overcome - even destroy the yetzer harah!
Okay...I've written a tome...sorry. But that's what your poem (probably you meant it to be more lighthearted...lol) had me thinking on.
Thank you all!
Nadja, that is cool info, I have never heard about that facet of Jewish belief...I'll have to ponder it!

Excellent observation - often wonder who the real me is!
Anna :o]
Mirror, mirror - which is the real me...Nicely done!
Nice work :)
Stretches the mind. Also, there is something about the way you presented the image...perhaps the black frame on the purple background...that makes it 'pop' as no other presentation of it in magpie kingdom!
