Hello there

All that is me

I will unlock my soul
For you
Leaving the keys
In your hands only
Use them wisely
For they only work
When you mean it
Otherwise they break
And a broken key will open
No locks
If used wisely open the locks will
And out will come
All that is me

mid month ramblings

I can do that

when
They are sick
Bless their poor little hearts
I feel so helpless
And they need you
Like at no other time
They need you
What can I do though
I can try to give medicine
But what do I do when that
Doesn't work
There is one tried and true
That may not heal all ills
I can be there
I can sing them off tune songs
Lullabies to ease the mind
I can be there with the love that I will
Never leave behind
And I can hold them
Without showing my fear
And pain
I can do that
I can do that

lie to me

Tell me a
Little white lie
You know I love you
And I know
It isn't true
But I go along with it
Lie to me baby
Tell me you feel safe
Lie to me baby
Tell me with a straight face
That you wouldn't want
To be anywhere
But here
Lie to me baby
I'll take it
With a smile on my face
Lie to me baby
And I'll take it
With a smile on my face
I'll take it
Because I don't know any better
Lie to me

The Mag 256

Image courtisy of Tess at The Mag

Static

We find that nothing is truly
Static
Everything is in motion
If only we could slow it down
Friction plays it’s own part
Slow to a crawl is still a
Crawl
Everything is in motion
There is no true static
Watch close as I try some slight
Of hand
A trick for your pleasure
Or maybe for your
Benefit
You just cant tell with
These things
Weather it is for you
Or if it is indeed for me
This slight of hand
Watch the one in the sky
She lay there with her
Toothsome smile
Painted on her hand as if
As if she had some part in the
Goings on
Watch as she steels herself
While we fortify ourselves
We find that nothing is really static
Even in this an image

In the sun

In the sun

I Journey in the sun
Rest with the moon
Across a midnight sky I stretch
Noon day you will see me

A journey of words
Finding that I know very little
In that midnight sky
Some peace
That is peace of soul
I close my eyes and see
That noon day sun blazing across my sky
It is easy to see
What so easily I missed in my noontide travels

I rest with the moon
And journey with the sun
I find them fit companions
Squinting in my noontime travels
I see you stark outlined
You I could find space for in the midnight hours
Could that you would see beyond the glair
Come journey with me
See the vistas open like petals on a flower
And the softening of all the edges

Rest with me but a moment
Then race across the sky with me
I journey with the sun
And rest with the moon
There is space enough for two on this ride
Take to the sky with me

I was inspired to write this after reading a poem by Mary Bach…she is a gifted poet and a good photographer go heck out her work here
