Thursday thought

is a feather

Death is a feather
Compared to the mountain size
Life happening here

is a feather big
When compared to a mountain
You tell me, is it

While you ponder that
Think on how others may view
What you think is big

The Importance Of Feathers

Owl has a bird brain
inside a bird skull with eyes
that stare straight ahead.
Owl has her feathers
all smoothed and shapely, designs
that cry predation
to the small creatures
who scuttle in the dim time
after the sun sets.
If you remove all
the feathers you will not see
owl at all but see
a tiny bird skull
atop a scrawny body
all bones, beak and claws.

A feather can be weighty...if it is like the straw that broke the camel's back.
Just as a mountain can be a new adventure ...

It's all about perspective. :}

I was just thinking about how much paperwork it takes to die as opposed to giving birth...how much paperwork is involved in divorce as opposed to marriage. The ends of things are mountains, compared to the beginning. And yet you are so right. Death is a feather compared to this mountain I am living now.
